Apple Jam Tart
Apple jam tart
· 1 sheet Frozen Puff Pastry thawed (as per package instructions)
· 2 Apples
· 3 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
· 50 grs Unsalted Butter diced
· ½ to 1 teaspoon cinnamon
· 1/3 cup Al Atayeb Apple Jam
· 2 tbsp Water
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Unroll 1 sheet of thawed puff pastry onto lined baking sheet.
3. Peel and core 2 apples. Cut each apple into thin slices
4. Arrange apple slices, one partially on top of the next, over surface of puff pastry
5. Sprinkle apples on tart with sugar and cinnamon. Scatter small pieces of butter on top of the sugared apples.
6. Bake tart in the oven at 200C for approx. 30 minutes, or until apples are caramelized and the puff pastry appears flaky at the edges.
7. In a small dish/bowl, mix together Apple jam and water. Once well combined, brush glaze over the hot apple tart.
8. Allow Apple jam Tart to cool completely, slice, and enjoy!
