Zaatar Zawtar HD

Zaatar Zawtar is an agricultural cooperative located in Zawtar, Nabatieh, South Lebanon. Mohamad Nehme, known as Abou Kassem (the father of Kassem), is the director of the cooperative and is one of the first few Lebanese farmers who domesticated the thyme plant traditionally collected in the wild.

Abou Kassem also cultivates sage and lavender and produces distillates and essential oils from these aromatic plants. He also has a wide variety of other products such as dried sumac, roasted sesame seeds and dried zaatar flowers.
